Take a bird’s eye view of Mount Everest and the majestic Himalayas on the flight to Paro Airport. Your guide will greet you at the airport and drive you 55km directly to Thimphu upon your arrival. Thimphu is the busiest city in Bhutan, whereas, it is a peaceful rural scenery overall. You will spend a whole day there and return back to Paro.
During two days’ sightseeing, your guide will tour you the most famous Buddhist monasteries to dip in the Buddhist atmosphere, such as National Memorial Chorten (a Buddhist stupa), Paro Taktsang (the Tiger Cave Temple), and Tashichho Dzong which has been the seat of the government since 1952 and is similar to Buckingham Palace in England. The buildings are magnificent, with white exterior walls and towers on each corner, which are unique in Bhutan.
Bhutan Textile Museum, Heritage Museum, Traditional School of arts & crafts, and Indigenous Hospital and local market are good places to learn Bhutan culture and the authentic life of Bhutan people. Bhutan country in the mountains is well deserved a wildlife world, you will be lucky enough to witness Takin. It is an animal only seen in Himalaya country, and it’s so rare that be regarded as the national treasure animal of Bhutan.
